I thought creating a blog would be good for me and help me reach my goals. It's the New Year and I always find myself making resolutions- like everyone else. This year I would like to: get my business going, be financially responsible, be physically fit, be more inviting, and be more of a part of my community (church, neighborhood, and groups). So, in that vein, I am signing up for a sprint triathalon, starting this blog (instead of buying theater tickets for my 1/12 year old- ANNIE's at the local dinner theater), and inviting anyone who reads this to make a post.
I haven't registered for the triathalon yet, but I will this evening. I am scared about this goal. I'm not so much afraid of the sprint as I am of making a commitment to prepare for it and take time away from my daughter. I'm lucky our gym has kid's club, and she loves it, but it's hard for me to put her in there day after day. I thought a good compromise would be 4 days a week for an hour each day, but I'm not sure if 4 days a week is enough time to devote to training (I ultimately want to complete a half ironman triathalon). But here I am- doing it anyway.
Yesterday, I started my training. BAD DAY- I woke up barely able to swallow but I made to the gym for a small workout. 15min. bike and 1 and 1/2 mile run. Today- I haven't been at all- but have made plans to work out tomorrow.
In terms of my other resolutions:
Financially: I spent 40 bucks at Bed Bath and Beyond buying hand towels, kitchen towels, and bathtub finger paint (which I didn't need and wasn't on my list) and forgot to buy wash cloths. BUT on the upswing, I used a coupon.
So- let's see what I can do.
