So, I finally got in the pool. I almost didn't. My husband was late getting home (good excuse number one), my baby was really cranky (good excuse number two- she needed me!), I left my goggles at home (good excuse number three), and no close parking spaces at the gym (great excuse number four). Unfortunately or fortunately, however you look at it, as I was leaving the gym parking lot (yes, that's right, I was leaving without swimming) three spot almost in front of the door openned. What could I do? I had to swim. The water wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. It was as chlorinated as I thought; I was blind by the time I left (15minutes later- yes, that's right I only swam for 15min.- but that's all the time I had, and in my defense I DID swim.). Here's what I learned: I can swim, I need practice (I'm slower than a turtle.), and I should always go back for my goggles.
Short updates on other goals:
Financially:
I have spent the bank this week. NO more Fun money left. Poop! I bought ABC supplies to continue teaching my daughter the letters of the alphabet, a swim cap (necessary), and a valentine's for my hubby- oh, yeah, and lunch with a friend. I wasn't prudent when buying the art supplies; I had three coupons which I forgot to bring.
The bad sign:
I am already figuring out how to borrow money from the food budget. Next month should be better. Why? Because I have more consciousness about spending, less birthdays (none), and....hopefully no more physical therapy and dr. visits.
Community:
? Still posting- anyone is invited to comment. Oh- yeah and I think we are playing games with friends at our house Saturday! Yeah!
